Lupita Sosa began dancing at the age of seven when she enrolled at the School of Folkloric Dance in her native state of Puebla, México. Later she had the Opportunity to join and be part in one of the best dancing groups in Puebla, “El Ballet Folklórico de Puebla”. Being part of this group, not only did she learned and gained the discipline and experience of a professional dancer but also got to represent México as first ballerina during their tour through Europe where they participated at the “International Jugend-Kultur Festival ‘89”, Wuppertal, Germany and at “The Fifth International Dance Festival of Porto Hydra,” Greece.
Today, after more than 45 years of being an active dancer, Lupita considers dancing a second religion and an Universal language, she feels very proud to be able to share, with other cultures and with new generations, what she feels one of the most beautiful traditions in México: FOLKLORIC DANCING.
