Maestra de Danza y Coreógrafa para Quinceañeras y Bodas
Lupita Sosa began dancing at the age of seven when she enrolled at the School of Folkloric Dance in her native state of Puebla, México. Later she had the Opportunity to join and be part in one of the best dancing groups in Puebla, “El Ballet Folklórico de Puebla”. Being part of this group, not only did she learned and gained the discipline and experience of a professional dancer but also got to represent México as first ballerina during their tour through Europe where they participated at the “International Jugend-Kultur Festival ‘89”, Wuppertal, Germany and at “The Fifth International Dance Festival of Porto Hydra,” Greece.
Today, after more than 45 years of being an active dancer, Lupita considers dancing a second religion and an Universal language, she feels very proud to be able to share, with other cultures and with new generations, what she feels one of the most beautiful traditions in México: FOLKLORIC DANCING.
“Lupita Sosa's MEXICAN Dances”
This group is being established in 1993, besides sharing and preserving the richness of the Mexican culture, one of the ballet's main goals is to keep the younger generations in direct contact with their roots and traditions creating a sense of culture, interest and pride in their own cultural backgrounds, and engendering a sense of respect for other cultures.
Lupita Sosa, its director, is very proud of this young group of performers who are very enthusiastic and full of energy. This group has dedicated long hours of practice and has been presented with a couple of frustrations, witch has been essential to accomplish their goals. At the end they have been able to keep their love and respect for the Mexican traditions.
After giving up most of their spare time to learn and practice, today they are proud and glad to present you the harvest of such hard work: The full of color and joyful, the beautiful and traditional Mexican “fiesta”.
"Ballet Mexicano de Lupita Sosa" has counted with the unconditional support of the Mexican Consulate in Atlanta, which always includes them in their festivals. The Ballet has also participated in multiple events.
